The worldwide market for uninhabited aerial vehicles continues to grow rapidly. Along with the growth in thex000D
market, there is a steadily increasing demand for higher performance UAVs. To support this demand, Tytox000D
Robotics is developing benchmarking and measurement tools for small UAVs (e.g. <25 kgs) which may bex000D
used by designers and operators to assess motors, propellers and batteries for their aircraft. Accuratex000D
performance data is as essential to mission planning and operational success for small UAV operators as it isx000D
for traditional manned aircraft and large-scale UAVs.x000D
Tyto Robotics has developed a small propeller/motor test stand that measures thrust, torque and powerx000D
consumption for small UAV propellers and motor combinations. This hardware tool also has integratedx000D
software to operate the test stand and collect and analyze the data. Additionally, the primary users of thex000D
system at present are researchers and hobbyists with intermediate to advanced level of existing knowledge ofx000D
electric propulsion systems. Tyto Robotics is seeking assistance to broaden the customer base for this systemx000D
to include less experienced users and to make the system suitable for educational institutions for training,x000D
representing a significant new business opportunity.
