"Cold pressing" means that the company uses hydraulic pressure to extract juice from fresh produce. Thisx000D
method allows for a maximum retention of nutrients and active enzymes from raw vegetables and fruits byx000D
minimizing exposure to heat and oxygen. The result is a highly nutritious product that is packaged forx000D
consumers in a convenient grab-and-go format.x000D
Greenhouse Juice Co. aspires to manufacture juice by produce type to increase efficiencies in the plant.x000D
Moreover, doing so would also reduce the spoilage of the organic produce. The Mississauga, Ontario basedx000D
company aims to test a unique technology to inactivate one of the active compounds responsible for the shortx000D
shelf life of the juice. This technology will be quintessential in making Greenhouse Juice's raw products morex000D

Through this proposed applied research project, Greenhouse Juice Co. and Sheridan College are collaboratingx000D
to pilot-test the technology to study the active compound using the state-of-the-art chemical and microbiologyx000D
lab facilities at Sheridan's School of Applied Chemical and Environmental Sciences in Brampton, Ontario. Thex000D
results of the testing will be studied, followed by commercialization of the technology.
