The College of New Caledonia and Endura-Form Plastic Solutions Ltd. are collaborating on an appliedx000D
research project to research the use of modular heated flooring panels for application in the horticulture sector.x000D
Endura-Form is a company based in Chilliwack, British Columbia, and manufactures injection-molded heatedx000D
plastic panels that are used for floor heating in a wide range of industrial sectors. These panels are made ofx000D
100% recycled materials, are strong enough to support heavy industrial equipment, and keep surfaces warmx000D
and snow-free at a low cost. Endura-Form panels are currently used in sectors including oil & gas, fuellingx000D
stations, and aviation.x000D
Endura-Form now seeks to develop a lighter panel that can be used in a range of lighter duty applicationsx000D
including residential and horticulture. The heated panels show tremendous potential for heating greenhouses inx000D
cold climates and extending the growing season. College staff and students will lead a research project thatx000D
will test the current line of Endura-Form panels in a greenhouse application, in order to provide data thatx000D
Endura can use to develop their new line of panels. The project will take place at the College's research andx000D
teaching greenhouse in Quesnel, BC, and will involve students in our Horticulture program.x000D
