But du programme :

TruLeaf Sustainable Agriculture Ltd ("TruLeaf", Bedford, Nova Scotia), specialising in in-door farming, isx000D
interested to explore new strategies to extend the shelf-life of their products ready-to-eat/use baby green andx000D
microgreen products, which are susceptible to tissue injury and microbial growth during transportation. Byx000D
manipulating the in-door growing conditions, exploiting different parts/blends of vegetables strategicallyx000D
selected from Brassicaceae family, and deploying bioactive volatiles, this project aims at developing ax000D
preservation system based on natural preservative to extend product shelf-life and increase productx000D
stability/yield. Besides benefiting TruLeaf, the envisaged technology will also benefit other Canadian vegetablex000D
producers in producing high quality and safe ready-to-eat vegetables, which is an essential component of diet tox000D
maintain good health. By extending product shelf-life to reduce product waste, the increased revenue will allowx000D
TruLeaf to expand their competitiveness in the marketplace.
