The project will create a mathematical model for the optimal location of warehouses for a largex000D
Canadian company. The model will take into account existing suppliers (manufacturers) to the distribution,x000D
existing outlets to be provisioned by the distribution centres, and the complexity and diversity of productsx000D
provided by the warehouses to the branches. The solution of the mathematicalx000D
model will determine the location an capacity of warehouses to be built. It will also determine the set ofx000D
branches to be provisioned by each warehouse. The final product will be a decision support system that willx000D
enable high level decision making through scenario analysis with analytical and mapped outputs. Thex000D
completion of this project will enhance Canadian competitiveness providing for continued economic growth.
