ClearcableTM is a specialized telecommunications technical consulting firm focused on the needs of Service Providers by thex000D
developing new business revenue streams, maintaining existing infrastructure and proposing new advancements inx000D
telecommunications sectors globally. ClearcableTM was founded in 2004 in Hamilton, Ontario,x000D
In 2015, ClearcableTM launched a Canadian Content Distribution Network (CDN) for broadcast TV channels. Thus, while thex000D
business that identifies as Clearcable Networks continues the traditional strategic consulting operations, the new Contentx000D
Distribution Network labeled Clearcable Streams is endeavoring to evolve online streaming applications for Canadian servicex000D
providers. Currently, ClearcableTM can only rely on anecdotal insight and human visual perception to assist the quality of ax000D
streamed image.x000D
Through the proposed project, ClearcableTM and Lambton Colleges Information Technology Research group will partner tox000D
establish a process and methodology for measuring, assessing, and optimizing the quality of the video streamed of the productsx000D
offering. The research team consisting of a Research Lead and two students will work with Clearcable to develop this reliablex000D
process, methodology, and software that will be directly integrated into their existing product offering as anx000D
augmentation/improvement of the technology.x000D
The economic results of this project will include the creation of new marketing, sales and after-sales support jobs and largex000D
increase in operators.
